A Note from Lisa Happy Holidays 2003 & Happy New Year 2004!
Wishing you peace, joy & laughter this Holiday Season,
As 2003 comes to an end, for some of us it may be a time of memories & reflection, of what was, or what could have been. Yet for others it may be looking towards what is to come, taking steps forward and continuing our journey on the path of life. This time of the year is full of beauty, fun, stress, shopping, school finals, more stress, treats, chocolate, family & friends with, oh okay, just a little more stress thrown in to keep us on our toes. For all of us, we can look to the New Year as a new start if we want, to the beginning of something fresh, a task, a trip, getting more organized (that's for me :)) or even a kind gesture towards another person.
This year some of us have experienced loss of family and friends and with time, through the sadness, perhaps are able to smile seeing other dear friends, family or the baby or child of someone close to us. For some of you life is rough right now, but eventually that rough road becomes more manageable. Let someone or something else motivate you, to keep you going…that's why we're all here, to help each other.
Did you get a taste of Wick & Cathe's delicious German Chocolate Cheesecake or Jamie's great brownies at our "Decadent" December dance party? There was chocolate everywhere, we even raffled off 2 boxes of Godiva Chocolats…mmm good. Thank you Wick, Cathe and Jamie for bringing your treats to the party. Also thank you David of "Get It On" Sportswear, for donating 2 pairs of sunglasses to the raffle and Jack for the 2 free passes to his OCWCSDC dance. And Meta from the U.S. Open Board came and Louie & Katie (they danced for us at the last party). We had a great birthday gang dance with Jack, David, Albert and Csilla. Thank you everyone who came, all our students & friends to support our dance party and to those whose help I couldn't run the party without, Aaron, Eric, Jer, JoAnn, Carolyn, Tim & Jasmin, Bev, Nikki, Jimmy, Jack and Andre. Without all of you, there'd be no party or dance. Thank you so very much.
I really need to thank our student and friend Dave, Manager of WingNuts Restaurant in Costa Mesa who has brought great food from there to our last class many times. I bring cookies for the last class of the sessions as a treat for all of our students, and Dave brings real food. It's been great and very thoughtful, Dave, thank you. Remember I mentioned last year that we worked together at Charley Brown's Restaurant years ago?
I must make a change this year with my mailing, I need to cut back on my
costs of postage, printing, etc. So starting next month, I'll slowly start
removing names I neither know nor haven't heard from in 4 1/2 years. It's difficult
because I know so many of you and I'd really like to keep in touch with you. If
you do have an email address or a fax number to where I can send you these
flyers, please contact me with such information, and I'll update my records. Or
you can visit our website at
I am still working on the dates of our parties for this coming year. Due to
dance competitions that I will be attending and a very special birthday party
in March, unfortunately some of the parties will change to the first Saturday.
It's not to hurt or purposely conflict with anyone else, I like to be at my
parties, and Robert and I exchange Saturdays as he has out of town competitions
too. We will keep you posted of the party dates early. So far, my parties will
The January class schedule is out with new classes begin January 5th, check it out, there's a new Hustle Level II class. Eric & I will be at Tia Juana's the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in January. Come and let's make it a great "Dance Night Out!" Gift Certificates are available, a great idea to give a Gift of Dance. Also, I'm a Herbalife Supervisor, so if you're interested in better nutrition, more energy, or a work from home business, a great way to start the New Year, give me a call at 714) 330-3689 or email me at Lisa@Dance-Today.com.
We are also available for private lessons. Eric can be reached at 714) 585-9368 or feel free to call me with any questions.
Dance is music made visible (thanks Sue & Joe).
So Dance-Today…let your spirit play. I'll see you in the New Year.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
