Our APRIL DANCE PARTY next month will be on the FIRST SATURDAY, APRIL 5th. It will be our 3rd Year Anniversary Party at Avant Garde Ballroom. Can you believe it's been over three years that I've been here? I'm very fortunate to have much love and support from my family and friends. This month is almost over and it's amazing how time seems to be flying by. And the saying," time flies when you're having fun", doesn't include when we're really, really busy or not having fun…and it's a real drag if you get sick or are laid up in bed.

Thanks to those who came and supported last month's Funtastic February. After the raffle we got most everyone out on the dance floor and did a little freestyle with Joe, JoAnn R. and me. Much thanks JoAnn, Carolyn, Bev, Jasmin & Tim for helping once again and Jerome for setting up chairs, Jack for DJ-ing and Andre for the studio. A huge thank you to Aaron, Lynda, Jessica, Joshua, Matthew, Rachel, Eric, and Jer for all their help before the party began. And thanks Jamie for the yummie brownies. In addition to all you special people, we had Jackie, John, Jerry and Jan from the West Coast Swing Club drop by, along with Jim & Lara, Ed, and Louie. Thanks Everyone!!!

OUR THREE NEW VIDEOS are available, Beginning Levels in West Coast Swing, Night Club 2-Step and Hustle. At our site there's an explanation of each video and the steps we cover, with the man and lady's footwork also included on each video. Designed to compliment our classroom learning, our video makes a great gift for someone who's interested in learning how to dance but can't take a class, or who wants to just brush up on those basics.

Our newest link is our Circle of Friends Business List. It's for those of you who have your own business to offer your service, like insurance, mechanic, catering, jewelry, printing, real estate, etc. to other dancers. We know when the economy is unsettling it affects all of us. And since dance is a luxury that some of us may cut back on, even indirectly, we can help support each other and keep dancing in our lives. Well, it finally happened to me when I traveled up to the Capital Swing Event in Sacramento. I had a very small (12" x 18") tote, which they insisted I check (I thought I could carry on two), and of course it didn't get on my flight, so I was without luggage (and clothes) until the day I was coming back. Thanks Michelle and Lisa for offering to come to my rescue with a curling iron and pants to wear for the competition I was dancing in on Sunday. I kept thinking, it could've been worse, definitely a first I don't want to experience again!

Some sad news, Darrell Strobele who we've known for most of our dancing days recently passed away from a heart attack. He always supported dancing, had a huge heart and drove that classic T-bird. We send sincere condolences to his family and close friends. The belief that for every death, there is a birth holds true here. Congratulations, Carol with the birth of your new grandson, Coleson, and Stan & Denise on your engagement.

Don't give up--keep trying at whatever you want to improve. I tell myself that daily, mostly with my computer. I heard if you allow fear in, it will squelch movement from you.
